Allen Buchanan, a dedicated farmer from Fowler, Indiana, joined the Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) Board in 2021, representing District 1. He currently serves on the Executive Committee as Secretary for ISA. Farming has been a lifelong passion for Allen, who operates a successful corn and soybean farm in partnership with his father, Bruce, in Benton County. Born in a farming family, Allen graduated from Benton Central High School in 1993 and went on to Purdue University, earning a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics in 1997. Since then, he has focused on sustainable farming practices and advocating for rural advancements that support Indiana farmers. Allen emphasizes faith, freedom, and farming in his work, contributing to the community while raising his sons to appreciate the farming lifestyle. Buchanan is dedicated to renewable energy and its positive impact on corn soybean farmers across Indiana.
