Carey McKibben

Treasurer, LaGrange

Carey McKibben is Treasurer of the Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) and a dedicated farmer from LaGrange, Indiana, where he grows corn, soybeans, and potatoes on his family farm. With six years of experience on the ISA Board of Directors, Carey has also served as Chair of the Market Development Committee and participates in the Membership & Policy Committee. Carey advocates for innovative soybean market growth through his role and represents ISA for Clean Fuels Alliance America, promoting soy-based fuel solutions.

One of Carey’s favorite ISA checkoff projects is the annual Student Soybean Innovation Competition at Purdue University, where students explore novel applications for soybeans. He finds inspiration in the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, which showcase the versatility of soybeans and their potential in diverse industries. This commitment to expanding soybean applications extends to his work internationally; Carey has been actively involved in ISA’s investments in Central American aquaculture. These efforts have helped position Indiana soybeans as a key ingredient in the diets of shrimp and tilapia, species that are critical to the region’s seafood industry. Carey is optimistic about Indiana soybean farmers’ expanded role in global seafood production and food security.
