CJ Chalfant

CJ Chalfant is a committed Farmer Leader with the Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) from Hartford City, Indiana. With his wife, Abbey, CJ manages Double Ridge Farms, where they grow soybeans and corn and raise their two children, Claire and Isaiah. With six years of service on the ISA board, CJ has held roles including Treasurer and Budget & Finance Committee Chair. He also serves on the Market Development and Membership & Policy committees and represents ISA as Secretary/Treasurer on the Soy Transportation Coalition Board. Passionate about expanding market opportunities for Indiana farmers, CJ focuses mainly on the role of U.S. meat exports in supporting soybean demand. He highlights that, in 2022, Indiana’s pork exports contributed significantly to local soybean value, enhancing farmers’ returns on their checkoff investments.
