Denise Scarborough

Chair, LaCrosse

Denise Scarborough, Chair of the Indiana Soybean Alliance, has been a dedicated advocate for Indiana agriculture since joining the ISA board in 2017. She and her husband, Mark, farm soybeans, commercial corn, seed corn, and wheat on their family farm in LaCrosse, Indiana, where they also operate an excavation business. In addition to her on-farm responsibilities, Denise works as a commercial and agricultural lender at The First National Bank of Monterey, bringing valuable insight into agricultural finance to her role on the ISA board.

A Purdue University graduate, Denise is deeply involved in the agricultural community. She has held multiple leadership roles in the Indiana Farm Bureau, including serving as the past chair of the State Young Farmer Committee and on the oversight committee and the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee. As ISA’s representative on the U.S. Soybean Export Council, she contributes to advancing U.S. soybeans in the global market. She also represents Indiana on the American Soybean Association Board of Directors.

Active in her community, Denise volunteers with 4-H, PCARET, youth sports, and her local church. She and Mark have two children, Madison and Parker, who are involved in FFA, sports, and livestock showing at both local and national levels. With a passion for fostering youth interest in agriculture, Denise recently shared how meaningful it would be to trade places with a 4-H youth educator to inspire the next generation. Denise’s dedication to family, farming, and community embodies her commitment to Indiana agriculture and the soybean industry.
