Matthew Lucas is the Vice President of the Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) and a dedicated farmer from Brownstown, Indiana. He farms with his father, James, where they grow corn and soybeans. In addition to crop farming, Matthew is a contract swine producer. His educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness with a concentration in commodity marketing from Purdue University, which he earned in 2020.

Matthew began his full-time farming career in 2018 and became involved in agricultural leadership. He was elected to the ICMC Board of Directors in 2021 and has served as past Chair of the Sustainability and Value Creation Committee. His passion for sustainable agriculture and renewable energy is reflected in his position on the National Corn Growers Association’s Research and New Uses Action Team, where he represents Indiana Corn.

In addition to his work with ICMC, Matthew is an active member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau Board, contributing to the local agricultural community. His leadership and commitment to advancing Indiana’s corn industry make him a vital part of the state’s agricultural landscape.
