Phil Zicht is a dedicated Indiana Corn Growers Association (ICGA) Board member and a lifelong advocate for agriculture. A resident of Winchester, Indiana, Phil operates Zicht Farms in partnership with his son-in-law, Deric King. Together, they manage a corn and soybean operation in Randolph County.
Farming has been a central part of Phil’s life since 1975. Though partially retired, he remains passionate about advancing the agricultural industry. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Science from Ball State University, Phil also dedicated years to education as a teacher before transitioning into full-time farming.
Phil has served for 10 years on the Cardinal Ethanol Board, contributing his expertise to enhance the production and use of ethanol—a crucial market for Indiana’s corn farmers. His involvement in ICGA stems from a strong commitment to advocacy and promoting profitable uses for Indiana corn. As a director, Phil focuses on “moving the pile”—spreading awareness of innovative ways to use corn and ensuring farmers benefit from its expanded market opportunities.
Phil and his wife, Ruth, live on their family farm in Randolph County. He looks forward to leveraging his experience and passion to represent Indiana’s farmers effectively.
