The Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) is made up of 15 volunteer directors and two appointed volunteer directors from farm organizations to govern Indiana checkoff funds. Those directors represent nine specific districts, as well as six At-Large Directors, who represent the entire state of Indiana. The elections take place every summer, and new board members take office October 1st. Candidate petitions are due in the beginning of June, and walk-in elections are held one week in August at County Extension Offices.
2024 Election Information
- The Indiana Corn Marketing Council (ICMC) is seeking corn farmers interested in serving on its board of directors.
- ICMC will host elections for Board of Director positions in Districts 2, 5 and 8 and also for two, statewide, at-large seats.
- Petitions must be returned to the ICMC office and postmarked before June 1, 2024.
- Voting will take place at Purdue Cooperative Extension Service offices during the month of August.
- Board members are elected to a three-year term and can serve three consecutive terms.
Three current ICMC directors will complete their third, three-year term this year and are not eligible for re-election. Exiting the board at the end of the year are Kelly Whiteman Snipes in District 2; Mike Beard in District 5 and At-Large Director Sarah Delbecq.
District 2
District 2 includes the counties of Carroll, Cass, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, St. Joseph and Wabash. Click here for the petition form.

ICMC Board Member Eligibility Requirements
- A registered voter within the State of Indiana
- At least 18 years of age
- Currently engaged in the business of producing and marketing corn in Indiana under own name or the name of an entity in which candidate has ownership
- A resident of the district which I seek to represent
- A producer of corn and who has paid an assessment on corn within the previous two (2) years
