Agritourism & The Ag Community

Discover farming in your community through educational farm tours, farmers markets, local agricultural backed programs, and much more. Through agritourism, farmers and the community create a stronger connection and help others to understand farming practices and foster a deeper understanding of how food gets to the table. ISDA’s Agritourism Guide
The Indiana State Department of Agriculture has created a directory of agritourism in Indiana. This guide includes family-friendly like farmers markets, corn mazes, or orchards with pick-your-own apples to a trail of all the breweries and wineries in Indiana.

The Glass Barn
Open to the public each year during the Indiana State Fair – and to school groups the rest of the year – the Glass Barn allows visitors to video chat with Indiana farmers. When you visit the Glass Barn you’ll learn how agriculture benefits our state and get to know local farm families through interactive games and exhibits. The Glass Barn is also a resource destination for teachers, providing educational programs throughout the year for preschool age children to high school seniors.

Fair Oaks Farms

Fair Oaks Farms
Fair Oaks Farms is an escape to the country with acres of great fun, fresh food, and learning.  It’s a place where you can explore family-owned farms and reconnect with nature, animals and our planet. While there you can learn about corn and soybeans, sustainable farming, history of agriculture, and about their goal to achieve a zero carbon footprint.

FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Local FFA chapters are in many public schools with an agricultural education program.
