Chris Eck, a third-generation farmer from Boggstown, Indiana, represents District 4 on the Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) Board. He and his wife, Lisa, operate Eck Family Farm, where they grow row crops like corn and soybeans. They were past growers of tomatoes for Red Gold and have achieved recognition with two Red Gold Master Grower Awards. Chris is passionate about sustainable farming and ensuring the land is preserved for future generations, a value he holds deeply as he carries forward the legacy of his father and grandfather.
In addition to local farming, Chris is a global advocate for Indiana agriculture. Recently, he traveled to Vietnam to represent the Indiana Soybean Alliance at the Porkstars cooking competition, showcasing U.S. pork and Indiana soybeans on the international stage. By supporting initiatives like biodiesel and promoting soybeans in global markets, Chris is committed to creating growth opportunities for Indiana farmers while fostering strong ties with his local and international community. Chris is also committed to building demand for high oleic soybeans and currently grows this unique bean on his farm.
