ISA will be celebrating “The Art and Nature of Fun” theme during the 2024 Indiana State Fair and has announced an art competition in partnership with the Brooks Lamb Foundation for the Arts.
The Brooks Lamb Foundation, based in Lebanon, Indiana, was founded by Ed Lamb to honor the spirit and legacy of his beloved daughter. The foundation’s mission focuses on celebrating students seeking to explore their talents in the visual and performing arts. This competition is open to anyone 18 years and older who are residents of Indiana. Each entrant must submit artwork using soybeans in their piece. This could include, but not limited to soybeans, soybean crayons, soy wax, soy fabric. 3D and flat pieces will be accepted. Medium can include oil, acrylic, mixed media, fiber, sculpture, etc. Artists are encouraged to get creative with their use of soybeans in their piece.
Best of Show winner will receive $600, two merit winners will win $200, and one People’s Choice winner will receive $150.

ENTRY FEE: There is an entry fee of $60 per work. All entry fees will be donated directly to the Brooks Lamb Foundation for the Arts, which will go to support students in Art Education.
