Alan Dunn

President, Michigantown, District IV

Alan Dunn is a fifth-generation farmer from Michigantown, Indiana, where he raises corn and soybeans on his family’s farm. As the District 4 Director and Vice President on the Indiana Corn Growers Association (ICGA) board, Alan has been an active member for one year. His district includes Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Hendricks, Jasper, Montgomery, Morgan, Newton, Putnam, Tippecanoe, White, Warren, and parts of Cass, Fountain, and Howard counties.

Alan is passionate about advocating for modern farming practices and educating the public on the vital role that agriculture plays in society. He believes that farmers are the operators of the world’s most efficient renewable energy business, creating food, fuel, and clothing using only the energy from the sun, water, and a few key elements. Alan is dedicated to protecting the future of farming and helping the ICGA achieve its goals.

In addition to his role on the ICGA board, he is the president of the Clinton County Council, a position he has held since 2017, and the president of the Frankfort/Clinton County Airport Authority. Alan’s leadership extends beyond agriculture; he has been instrumental in significant community projects, including replacing a dilapidated county-owned hospital with a new IU Health facility.

Alan earned a degree in marketing from Butler University and is a Class 6 graduate of the Indiana AgrIInstitute Leadership Program. When he’s not working on the farm or serving his community, Alan enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Jenni, have two sons, John and Spencer. Alan loves watching his sons play sports and play basketball himself in his free time.
