Gary McDaniel is a dedicated leader on the Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) board, representing District 3. As a fifth-generation farmer from Boonville, Indiana, Gary, his wife Shelley, and son Derrike manage a diversified family operation in Spencer and Warrick counties. The McDaniels grow corn, soybeans, seed soybeans, wheat, and hay and maintain a cow-calf operation. The farm includes a family wedding and events barn, creating a unique venue that adds value to the community and diversifies their agricultural business. Gary’s extensive experience in various aspects of farming and his knowledge of the soy industry make him a valuable asset to the ISA.

Gary’s dedication to the agricultural community extends beyond farming. As an ISA Board Member, he focuses on advancing Indiana’s soybean industry by developing new markets, creating value for farmers, and promoting sustainable farming practices. Gary actively shapes policies and programs that benefit Indiana’s 20,000 soybean farmers.

Outside of ISA, Gary is also involved in custom hauling and snow removal, adding another service layer to his community. His hands-on experience and commitment to advocating for farmers’ interests reflect his passion for Indiana agriculture. As a multi-generational farmer, Gary strives to uphold and expand the legacy of farming in his community, ensuring its sustainability for future generations.
