Philip Springstun is a passionate farmer from Boonville, Indiana, dedicated to preserving the legacy of Springstun Farm, a homestead in his family for over 145 years. Alongside his wife, Debbie, and son, Logan, Philip raises beef cattle. He cultivates corn, soybeans, and hay on the same land Debbie’s great-grandfather, Heinrich Rauth, established in 1871 after emigrating from Germany.
When Debbie’s father, Frederick Rauth, retired from farming, Philip and Debbie took over the operation, continuing the family’s commitment to agriculture and community. Under their stewardship, Springstun Farm has thrived, combining time-honored practices with modern techniques to ensure sustainable production and care for the land.
In addition to his work on the farm, Philip has taken on a leadership role as a District 3 Member of the Indiana Soybean Alliance board. This position allows him to advocate for Indiana’s soybean farmers and contribute to advancing agricultural innovation in the state. Philip is proud to uphold the values of stewardship, community, and tradition that have defined his family’s farming legacy for generations.
