COVID-19 Essential Employee Information Alert
Dear Indiana corn and soybean farmers,
I hope as this new week begins and the unknown continues you and your family are doing well and are continuing to gear up for the upcoming planting season. As you are getting ready for this busy time of year, we wanted to help prepare you with what may lie ahead as the pandemic changes daily. Our hope is not to create a panic but provide you with information that allows you to be prepared.
Indiana has issued a Stay At Home Order beginning this Wednesday, March 25– Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
In conversations with our state officials, we are very confident that they understand completely the importance of the agriculture industry. We recommend that each company creates a letter of your farm logo or name that references the essential nature of your farm business as directed by the CISA Memo found here. Below you will find a link to an example template for you and your essential farm employees to carry with them for travel to and from work if the need arises.
As things are moving quickly, we will do our best to keep you updated with the situation. Please visit the CDC website to learn more about the virus and its newest protocols. Additionally, the USDA has launched www.Farmers.gov/coronavirus, and will continue to provide the latest updates for farmers.
Please know that we support you. and we are continuing to work on your behalf.
