Mike Koehne, a first-generation farmer from Greensburg, Indiana, runs a diversified farming operation with his wife, Jill, and their four children. Together, they raise high oleic and food-grade soybeans, which they export to Japan and Taiwan, as well as corn for the Kentucky bourbon market and Japanese dry millers. The Koehnes also raise cattle and grow hay on their farm, Kingdom Farms, known for its specialty crops and no-till practices. Beyond the fields, Mike and his family operate a successful drainage business that utilizes advanced GPS technology for tile mapping and layout, providing vital solutions for local farmers.

A passionate advocate for agriculture, Mike holds leadership roles on the Indiana Soybean Alliance, American Soybean Association, and Soy Transportation Coalition Boards, where he works to address transportation and infrastructure issues crucial to agricultural trade. Mike is the current Chairman of the STC Board. Recently, he was appointed to the U.S. Soybean Export Council’s board, where he focuses on strengthening international partnerships and promoting U.S. soybeans. Mike is dedicated to continuous learning and shares his knowledge with fellow farmers, embodying his belief in the importance of agricultural advocacy and innovation.
